I think this has to be the most technologically advanced, affordable iPhone case that is also a more secure wallet than your normal one today! The Geode has an amazing amount of security as a wallet and seems to have a very protective material to also protect your phone. Not just that, but the fact that it’s both a wallet and iPhone case, means that you only have to remember to take one thing instead of two!
The Design
Now, you may be thinking that it’s huge, but if you compare the case with the iPhone in it to the Otterbox Defender, it’s actually less bulky! The company, iCache, did an amazing job and I’m sure that it took them a LONG time to develop. It’s also already proven that people like the idea, as their Kickstarter project was 705% funded with just under $353,000!
Protection
So how is it better than a regular wallet? Well all of your credit/debit cards as well as rewards cards can be stored right on the app. Of course, the first problem you’d think of would be, what if my phone was stolen? Well, the app is fingerprint protected because of the fingerprint scanner on the front of the case. That should be enough protection for anyone! I mean, your current wallet isn’t fingerprint protected, is it?
Easy To Use
Another great thing about this case/app is the ease of use. The setup is very simple with the included credit/debit card reader. Just plug the reader into the bottom of the case and swipe away! To get your rewards/loyalty cards into the app, just use your iPhone’s camera to scan the barcode on it. See, simple!
Using the Geode
So how do you use the cards once they’re on your phone? Again, it’s very easy to use! For credit cards, you use the Geocard in the back of the case. The Geocard is a reprogrammable card that, after a certain amount of time, wipes away the card info. That way, if you were to lose the card, it couldn’t be used again until it was back in the case (yeah, as if the fingerprinting wasn’t enough!). And to use your rewards card, just pull it up on the app and send it to the back of the case where an e-ink display will show the barcode.
Conclusion
The price for this security monster is $199.99, which isn’t too bad if you compare it to a nice, leather wallet that has absolutely no security other than your pocket.
