With the new Prometheus movie set to hit theaters on June 8, 2012, there is a high anticipation riding on Ridley Scott considering the fact that he directed the movie Aliens. Some sources say that Prometheus could be a prequel to his 1979 epic Aliens.

Where does the name Prometheus come from?
The movies title dates back to Greek mythology times. Prometheus stole fire from god Zeus and gave it to all who needed it. For his sins, Prometheus was tied to a rock and had a bird peck at his liver for eternity. Now that whole Greek mythology story has nothing to do with the actual movie. The name Prometheus is actually the name of the movie’s spaceship.
What will happen in Prometheus?
The script follows a team of scientists and deep space explorers who get stranded on a distant planet that may hold the answers to life’s biggest questions, such as who created us? And why are we here?

This movie doesn’t exactly star any big names, but it does have a lot of people such as,

What do fans expect to see from the movie?
Well the fan expectancy isn’t exactly low. 97% of audience want to see the movie, so that must mean that they want it to be good. Nothing much to tell about what they want to see from the movie. I know one thing for sure, people are expecting to see amazing graphics. With a year since starting production, everybody wants to see some of the best graphics in a sci-fi movie. I suppose everybody will just have to wait until June 8, 2012 to see the movie Prometheus.
