With all of these features, anyone would be happy to buy and use this phone as their daily phone. Compared to the iPhone, this phone seems very similar and has many of the same feature for less price. It is also very durable without a case unlike the iPhone. One downside to using this phone instead of the iPhone, however, is that it’s bigger in your pocket. The Lumia is bulkier and weighs a little more than the iPhone. One other big downside is the app accessibility. The Windows Marketplace with about 70,000 apps isn’t nearly as large as the iPhone’s App Store with over 500,000 apps.
However, there are some upsides to using this phone. One being the price. For $100 dollars less, you can still get a good phone camera, web browser, and fast phone connectivity. Another great upside is its durability. With Gorilla Glass for the screen and polycarbonate body protecting the phone, you won’t ever need to buy a case and you’ll most likely never break it with normal use.
The design of the phone is a very interesting one. I’d say it looks as if they took an iPhone and wrapped it in a permanent case. The polycarbonate body looks like a case so it’s almost unnecessary to buy a case because it would be like putting a case on top of a case. The phones profile is a little chunky looking especially because of the sharp-looking corners that are one it. It’s obvious that Nokia was trying to make it look different than any other phone but I think they should have chosen a different path.
Overall, this phone would be great for any average person and most people would be happy with using it. It has many great features that I’m sure will only get better as it is used more. The price is unbeatable when compared to phones similar to it and it’s protected very well by it’s screen and body. So, if you’ve only got a hundred bucks to spend on a nice smartphone, this one would be the one for you.
